Mistral opens Large 4, Gemini edits PDFs, Google retires Jules

Developers who use Google's Jules coding agent have until Nov. 11 to finish work in progress. After that the tool goes read-only, and on Dec. 31 it is switched off. Separately, French AI company Mistral says it has released the weights of a 1-trillion-parameter model, Mistral Large 4, and the Gemini app can now edit documents and PDFs directly in the conversation. None of the sources consulted mentions prices in Brazilian reais.
Jules: a short window to export what matters
According to Jules' own changelog, the agent will run in read-only mode after Nov. 11, 2026, and will be shut down on Dec. 31. Code, branches and pull requests are not affected, since they already live on GitHub. Settings, environment variables, scheduled tasks, connected repositories, memories, session history (prompt, plan, activity log and patches) and setup scripts can be exported to a local folder. The process uses Jules Tools together with a command-line coding agent. Exporting repository data requires a connected GitHub account, and because the script reads Jules' login token, Google recommends reviewing it before running it.
The notice includes one practical warning: the env-variables.json file stores the actual values of the environment variables, so the exported folder should be kept private and outside any repository. Google says what it learned from Jules feeds into its products, including Google Antigravity, which it describes as an agent-centered platform. The notice does not present it as a direct replacement and makes no comparison of prices or features.
Mistral Large 4: open weights, with one condition
In an announcement, Mistral AI says it has released the weights of Large 4, an upgraded version of the model that had been in public preview. According to the company, it has 1 trillion parameters, is multimodal, covers more than 160 languages and was tuned for programming, defensive cybersecurity and reasoning efficiency. It offers three reasoning modes: low, medium and high, which is the default.
For developers, the key point is the license. Mistral calls it the Mistral Ecosystem Open-Weight license and describes it as a modified MIT license. It allows users to use, modify, fine-tune and commercialize the model, but companies that run a model service as their product (Model-as-a-Service) need a separate commercial license. The weights are on Hugging Face for anyone who wants to run the model on their own infrastructure. According to Mistral, the model is also available through its API and Mistral Studio, on OpenRouter and on Microsoft Foundry. The company lists API prices in U.S. dollars: $0.70 per million input tokens and $2.10 per million output tokens. There is no mention of availability specific to Brazil, and the full technical report has yet to be published.
Gemini edits documents and PDFs without leaving the chat
Google announced on Thursday, Oct. 29, that the Gemini app can now generate, preview and edit files inside the chat itself: Google Docs, Google Sheets, slide presentations, Markdown, plain text and code. In full-screen view, users can type their edits directly. Previewing and editing PDFs works on the web and on mobile; the other formats work on the web only.
According to the company, the feature is available to all users, in every language the app supports. The announcement does not specify plans or countries. It is not possible to confirm that the feature is already active in Brazil; the way to find out is to open the app and check.
AWS grows 39% as Amazon's spending climbs
In its third-quarter report, Amazon posted revenue of $201.9 billion, up 12%. AWS, its cloud division, brought in $46 billion, 39% more than a year earlier, and the segment's operating income rose from $11.4 billion to $17.8 billion. The company's purchases of property and equipment totaled $77.3 billion in the quarter, and Amazon projects about $220 billion in cash capital investments for 2026. The figures come from the official earnings release and are not investment advice.
Deepgram buys Daily, the maker of Pipecat
Deepgram, a speech technology company, announced the acquisition of Daily, creator of Pipecat, an open framework for voice agents. The price was not disclosed, and the announcement gives no closing date. According to the companies, Pipecat will remain open source and free under the BSD license, and an independent foundation will be created with companies that use or contribute to the project. Deepgram also says it plans to launch a voice-agent platform combining Pipecat, Daily's infrastructure and its own speech models. The announcement does not say whether prices will change for current Daily customers. This is an announcement from the companies themselves and has not been independently verified.
