Brazil’s Enem 2026: Day 1 is Sunday, Nov. 8

The first day of Brazil's Enem 2026, the national high-school exam, is Sunday, Nov. 8. Exam gates open at noon and close at 1 p.m., and testing runs from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Brasília time, according to the Anísio Teixeira National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (Inep), the federal agency that runs the exam. Published Nov. 6, 2026; Inep data checked by RaisLife on Oct. 14, 2026.
Exam dates and times
The Inep's countdown notice says the exam is held over two Sundays, Nov. 8 and 15, and the institute's schedule confirms the dates. It covers languages, human sciences, natural sciences, mathematics and an essay. Day one has the languages and human sciences tests plus the essay; day two has natural sciences and mathematics. Gate times are the same on the second day, but testing ends at 6:30 p.m.
- Day 1, Nov. 8: gates open noon to 1 p.m.; testing 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Day 2, Nov. 15: gates open noon to 1 p.m.; testing 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Test site and ID
The exact test site is printed on the Enrollment Confirmation Card, which the Inep planned to release in October on its Participant Page. With the exam on Sunday, anyone who has not yet checked the card should do so now on the Participant Page. Test takers who cannot find their site should use the support channels listed on the Inep's official website, and should not pay anyone for that information. The card also shows the registration number, whether the test taker has requested special accommodations or to be addressed by a social name, and the chosen foreign language. The Inep recommends bringing a printed copy of the card.
Test takers must show the original of an official photo ID to enter the room. The Inep accepts passports, the national driver's license (CNH), the work card (Carteira de Trabalho), the new national ID card (CIN), digital versions of the electronic voter ID (e-Título), CNH and CIN shown in their official apps, ID cards issued by state public-security departments, the armed forces, military police and the Federal Police, and professional-council IDs that have legal validity as identification. An e-Título without a photo is not accepted.
What to bring
The Inep says to bring a black ballpoint pen made of transparent material. Anyone bringing a snack should carry homemade food in containers or bags; packaged food must be sealed or have its label visible. Before entering the room, each test taker receives an envelope for prohibited items. It stays under the desk, sealed and labeled, with electronic devices turned off. The exam notice and the Inep's guidelines include the full list of prohibited items.
Answer key, results and make-up exams
According to the Inep, the official answer keys for the multiple-choice tests are posted on the institute's website within 10 business days after the second day of testing. Individual results are expected in mid-January 2027 on the Participant Page. Test takers affected by logistical problems during the exam, or who have one of the infectious diseases listed by the Inep in the week before each exam day, can request a make-up exam on the Participant Page. The Inep reviews each case individually, and in cases of illness the test taker must submit a legible document confirming the diagnosis. The exam notice has the list of diseases and the deadline, so check it before deciding to skip the test.
Scam alert
RaisLife advises caution with WhatsApp messages, texts, emails or social media profiles that offer an "early answer key," a "guaranteed spot" or a "sure score," ask for money, or ask for a password, a code received by text or personal data in the exam's name. Information on test sites, cards and answer keys is only reliable if it comes from the Participant Page and the official pages of the Inep and the federal government.
